Outdoor Adventurous Activities in Devon and the South West

Devon

To simply look at Devon is beautiful enough, but add to that the variety of outdoor activities available in and around the county and you have an excellent outdoor ‘playground’ that we feel privileged to be based in. The coastline provides beautiful walks, excellent surfing and sailing, and some of the most exciting sea cliff climbing in devon and the UK. We also run BELA courses in Devon.

Devon Coast

Exmoor

Exmoor in the north gives further hiking opportunities, along with excellent horse trails, mountain biking, and lively rivers for canoeing and kayaking. Dartmoor has a bit of everything, climbing in devon has been very popular for a long time, Devon also has some of the best white water rivers in the UK, stunning wild walking and many popular rock climbing venues. Against this backdrop Dynamic Adventures run a variety of outdoor activities catering for a wide range of clients and interests, examples of which we list below:

Duke of Edinburgh:

Dartmoor is a particularly good venue for gold practise and assessment for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and we use it frequently. We often branch out to the rest of the country though and in some cases even further afield. For example last year Exeter school completed their gold expedition in the eastern Pyrenees.

3D Decathlon:

A yearly event for charity where teams of competitors take on the challenge of completing ten events in a day, predominately with an outdoor theme.

Summer camps

Set up to give groups several days of fun outdoor activities. We organise everything from the tents to the catering to the campfire!

Schools

We work with a number of schools helping them deliver their xl program under the Prince’s Trust. For more information see the ‘Schools & Colleges’ section of our website.

BELA Courses

The Basic Expedition Leader’s Award allows you to take groups out into low level country and equips you with the skills to pass your knowledge onto others. Particularly relevant to teachers, more information about it can be found under the ‘Relevant Associations’ section of the website.

Adult groups

People often come to us simply for one off experiences, a day out or two with their friends to try something different or to learn new skills. Many of them we see again, wanting to try something new or to move their abilities on further.
